Well, well, well. I’m back! Have you missed me? What do you mean “No”!? Of course you have, you must have. I mean, it’s me we’re talking about, I’m a fabulous guy!! You know I am!
The last two weeks in Majorca have been absolutely lovely. We stayed in the Barcelo Torrenova which is located between the resorts of Magalluf and Palmanova (see map to left). I’ve really enjoyed spending some time alone with Rachel (it’s the longest we’ve been together alone since we got together in 2001!), and we had plenty of laughs and plenty of interesting conversations about everything from babies to American politics. We had plenty of booze as well, cocktails and sangria! Lovely jubbly.
We ate out every night (we were in a self catering apartment) in restaurants which included Chinese, Mexican and your every day British fare. We also went to see a show called The Pirates Adventure. It is a world famous dinner show and is the most popular night out for British and Irish tourists and residents on the island.
Most of the time we just sunbathed by the pool. I read four books during the two weeks, which was nice. We arrived back in the UK at 8.45pm last night, got the Gatwick Express to London Victoria and then a taxi back to my flat in Muswell Hill (which cost us ?32, but worth it) exhausted.
All in all, it was a lovely, lovely holiday, and I have come back feeling refreshed and ready to return to “normal” life.
