Back due to popular demand, the sound of a bath:

tinkle, whiiiiizzzzzzzzzz, gulp, rustle, oomph, glug, whoosh, schpurfff-schlopp, glug, whoosh, oomph, bzzzzzz, silence

Translation:

tinkle - beginnings of water running
whiiiiizzzzzzzzzz - sound of water running
gulp - sound of tap stopping
rustle - sound of taking clothes off
oomph - getting in/out bath
glug - dunking self into water
whoosh - getting into upright position
schpurfff-schlopp – applying shampoo/gel
bzzzzzz - sound of drying self with towel

G has very kindly installed some nifty plugins for WP2 for me, and this is one of them, VideoPop. It now allows me to do this:

Please note that it will bring up a pop-up window, and a blank canvas. You should let it load awhile (which could take a few minutes if the video is more than 5MB in size), and a playbar should then appear, on which you should press Play.

Your feedback would be appreciated. Please note that this may have teething problems at first, but it will improve as time goes by.

Erm, am I really Deaf?

I do feel sorry for you guys – having to change your RSS feeds constantly over the past few months. You are right, I’m an idiot.

What has happened? You’ve probably noticed that this blog (and robwilks.com) is no longer green. It has now reverted back to the blog layout that I had several months ago, which is when I had WP 1.5.2. It was this design that got fucked up when I tried to upgrade the blog software to 2.0 beta, which in turn fucked up my database tables and caused me to scream and rant in despair (which has unfortunately caused my many friends to start calling me Charlie, owing to my (apparent) similarities to the deaf gay drama queen from BBC2′s Beyond Boundaries) and to settle for MT.

Nonetheless, the full stable version of WP, WordPress 2, has now been released. With G rubbing my face in it with demonstrations of how fantastic it is, I was lured back to WP, and G very kindly installed WP on my website. So yes, I am now running WP once again.

I promise that this will be the last time I change anything at robwilks.com again. I was very happy with this design before I fucked everything up, so I intend to leave it as it is for quite some time. The only things that I will change is the theme, if and when I find funky and cool ones.

All you BSL users will be pleased to see that I have been vlogging a bit more of late. I am finding the whole process rather easy to do, mainly as a result of my new webcam. However, I do need your feedback to improve either the format or the quality of the vlogs.

I would also particularly like to embed the vlogs into the blog itself so that you can press play after a few minutes, without having to actually download the Windows Media file itself.

Suggestions are welcome.
