Finally …

Thursday, March 30th, 2006

I’ve managed to finish Assignment 4, two days ahead of schedule.  I’m knackered!  It was the hardest assignment I’ve done so far, and required a lot of getting my head around stuff.

Just the dissertation left to do.  Got till December to do that, but I’ve got to do a n outline dissertation proposal by the end of April, and a dissertation proposal by the end of May, and the final dissertation by December 2006.

Zzzzzzzzzz…

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

Summary: Response to J’s vlog on Grumpy Old Deafies about BSL Day and the lack of activities. What has happened since BSL recognition on 18 March 2003? Is there any point advertising the fact to the Deaf community? We need a BSL Act.

“Knowing You”

Monday, March 13th, 2006

Knowing YouAn old Malaysian pen-pal of mine, Leon Lim, has created an online portfolio called Knowing You, which can only be described as a collection of photographs that Leon Lim himself has taken over the years, in which he demonstrates how he remembers the individuals he has met through his childhood, school, at college, from his travels etc. They are very clever pictures; they tend to capture an essence of the subject; their character, their personality.

Leon Lim took one of me when he came to stay at my parents’ house in August 2003, during his European travels. You can see it here. Do you think that picture reflects my personality? Discuss!

Busy

Monday, March 13th, 2006

I just wanted to apologise for the lack of posts this month – I’m exceptionally busy this month with work and also with Assignment 4 for the LLM.  I’ve got just under three weeks to get it done – ARGH!

When it’s done and dusted, I’ve got to do an outline dissertation proposal by 31 April 2006 – what the hell am I gonna do it on!?
