Today was the day we demolished our garage. From this:

For your information, plans are afoot to build a new garage at some point. If you know anyone who can draw plans for us, give us a shout.

  2. I wanted to comment on your beautiful photographs. They are quite stunning.

I will look you up. I work for a firm of sols. in Craven Arms, sole practitioner. Bare floors, as we get farmers in, in their wellingtons, with gifts of wine and chocolates!! A far cry from the large firms in Cardiff, where I used to work as a temp quite a while ago, audio, with those things in my ears! None of that here now. Here in a few minutes, you are out in the countryside, river, birds. Super! Only just got car parking charges and everyone is grumbling! They try and park in every nook or cranny, rather than putting a couple of bob in the machine! The Queen visited us a couple of years ago. So long for now. Doreen

  3. Hi Rob,

I couldn’t find your email address on your blog so I’m leaving this comment here.

Your interview with BBC’s Access 2.0 was excellent and you put out many important points. We are all in this together to push for accessibility on the web. Thanks for the mention of DeafRead in the interview- we’re trying hard to do our part too. As our numbers grow, we’ll start to see more favorable results.

  4. A lot of flooding around here – South Shropshire. One house was washed away in Ludlow. Here I am on a flood plain but am ok. Water was just 200 yards away, washing onto a friend’s garden. Very windy today, almost gale force, like winter, in July! I am going in for a competition – dressing a cow! It is made from hardboard and you can dress it any way you like (or paint it or wallpaper it). Lions Club are organising it and the top prize is £100. Mine is going to be ‘Groovy Chick’. This is the first year I have entered. Last year they were very good, all in a row on display at our Secret Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms – with its grass roof. Lots of activities going on here on way or another, lots of culture. Never had so many friends in my life (I’m back to my roots – my home county, after spending a long time elsewhere, including South Wales (not so wonderful). Have left family behind. Daughter Heather in Bournemouth, today having an interview with somebody from the government which may lead to her having advanced teaching status. She’s a musician, once on New Faces and supporting Don McLean on tour once, and at Edinburgh Festival. Shes a super singer and composer. Anything you like, on any theme. Can write ‘instant’ stuff for parties etc.

    This is all for now
