Motivation

I admit it. I’ve lost the motivation for blogging.

What should I do about it?

  1. Perhaps my problem is that I feel the need to write essays. No point re Twitter, cos I don’t really twit much.

  2. twitter is great fun! all my colleagues and i use it to keep in touch when we’re all over the place!

there’s got to be something in between blog and twitter that tickles you Rob!

  3. Rob, as Fin says, write about the law. Write about how it affects Deafies. Write about your role as a Deaf lawyer cum solicitor, cum legal worker whatever u r.. there is a rich seem waiting to be mined there. Do your own Deaf legal blog. COmment on cases and situations that Hearies do.. comment on legislation as it is passed………. how does it affect deafies, etc…….

  4. You could try addressing the injustice of the supportive system, offer free legal advice online to deaf, and leave twittering to the twits. Addressingthe role of charities is an area that deserves legal investigation. Albeit if you work for one that makes it difficult :)

  5. Do vlogs instead!

Mind you…you’re probably thinking “urgh all that editing times”….

Indeed that’s very true…wish it was more like Linux where I have a fire-it-and-forget-it vlogging style sometime – ie I start software, sign rubbish, it then auto upload at once and post it – take no time at all apart from the time taken to start software, and sign into it.

Blogging don’t require you to make 10 posts a day or something. I’m perfectly happy with 1 nice post a month or every two month as opposed to 10 crap offputting posts a day. Just post whenever you fancy it. It doesn’t have to be an essay – that’s your problem you treat it as if it’s an essay, when it’s not. You can simply just post a photo even.

Point being – it’s your site you do whatever you want. Don’t ask us to tell ya to slap something on. You decide when and if you post. It’s your control and once you realise that, you’ll find it easier.

Even a twitter plugin is fine (even if you don’t twit much – I don’t either!)

Anyway, I’m in same boat as you – I don’t always post that much myself either but I feel under no pressure to make a post although where I differ is that I do get suggestions from people asking me to do this or that and I often do.
