Hacked by Russians

You will have noticed that North of the Stupid Line was hacked by Russians while I was away. I’m pleased to announce that North of the Stupid Line is back up as normal, and that I’ve managed not to lose any posts (not that there have been many recently!).

I’ve also upgraded the WordPress installation to version 2.5, which is a marked improvement on previous versions. It’s also more secure. So hopefully, hackers will be kept at bay from now on.

I’ll try and post a bit more regularly from now on. Bear with me while I re-insert all the features that were available previously.

  1. There’s some really good WP database backup plugin’s available including those that does automated weekly backup – WP-DBManager I think is the name.

    And welcome back!

You? A Londoner? You may own a freedom pass until May 2008 and know your way about London, but you so cannot call yourself a Londoner!! *coughs*

    From a true Londoner.

Oh, and another thing – I lived in Wales for 2 years, had a Welsh bus pass, studied and worked in Wales, went to a Welsh GP (not a dentist, mind, wasnt worth the queues), spoke a teeny weeny bit of Welsh but I damn well didnt call myself a Welshwoman!

    Get my drift? *grins*

    xx
